Lovely little earrings made using vintage, rare, green fire opals and genuine Swarovski elements. The opals are man-made glass fire opals from the 1950's. The green ones are much more rare than their pink cousins. The green fire opals have flecks of darker green, yellows, and gold and have a blue tint inside the glass. The blue tint really shows when you turn the stone from side to side. I've hung the opals from smaller, pear shaped Swarovski stones in emerald color.
Each stone is hand-set in an american made, antique brass setting and hangs from antique brass lever back ear wires. Ear wires and settings are, as always, nickel and lead free. Opals measure a sizeable 3/4" long while total earring length is just over 2" from the tip of the ear wire to the bottom of the stone.
